Super tough Cristalite, is the most durable sink material available and was developed in the 1980's to offer a coloured sink that did not stain or scratch. Cristalite is made from 86% ground granite mixed with 14% acrylic bind.lt is virtually indestructible and will not scratch, stain or mark. A Cristalite sink is much more than a wet area - it is designed as a total work centre and features smooth profile drainers to aid cutting and chopping. Cristalite is impervious to staining - the surface cannot be penetrated by staining agents, from foodstuffs to inks. Cleaning could not be less hassle free - simply scour with a brillo pad. Abrasive cleaners such as Vim, Ajax or Bar Keepers Friend are ideal and ensure the sink surface will remain pristine way beyond the life of any kitchen. Unlike stainless steel a Cristalite sink brings dynamic colour into the kitchen and perhaps best of all does not leave unsightly watermarks. Because we are working with larger granite granules Cristalite offers the possibility of a multi-coloured fleck finish.
