Bathrooms are rooms where you can really show off when it comes to your interior design. Lots of people choose the bathroom to demonstrate their design sensibilities and personal tastes because they know that at some point their guests are likely to use this particular room. A little luxury in the bathroom is also something that people like to have just for themselves, especially if they enjoy spending large amounts of time in there.

Lots of bathroom designers recognise how important luxury is to modern people when they design their bathrooms. As a result, bathroom suites and items of bathroom furniture can be found that meet the high standards expected by the general public.

One of the most striking design choices you can make in your master bathroom provided it is large enough is the installation a freestanding bath. Freestanding baths make wonderful central features in your luxury bathroom.

Both contemporary and traditional freestanding baths are available on the market to choose from, all of which will transform your bathroom from a reasonably attractive and practical room into a truly stunning space. You and the rest of your family will love spending time in the bathroom given these aesthetic improvements.

One of the things that you may always have on your mind regarding your home is the price you will be able to set for it when you eventually sell it on. Naturally, houses that are well-looked after and are well-decorated usually go for a little more money when their owners finally come to sell them.

It is only to be expected that prospective buyers target particular rooms on their search for a home that will be ready to move into straight away. More and more people are taking this approach because they have less and less time to devote to home improvements.

A lot of prospective buyers place a good deal of emphasis on the bathroom in their search. This is simply because a house with a bathroom that is barely fit for use will be really unattractive to them. The bathroom is a vital room that will be used more regularly than any other room in the house.

As a result, those thinking of selling in the future should try and kit their bathroom out so that it looks and appealing and is convenient for use. Cheap bathroom suites are available to install that exude great quality at affordable prices and bathroom furniture can bolster the appeal of such rooms.

Storage is important in pretty much every room in the house. Each room needs to accommodate specific items that are relevant to the things you do in those rooms. For instance, kitchens obviously need to accommodate food items, living rooms ought to be able to store multimedia items, bedrooms have to accommodate clothes and home offices need space for books and computing items.

Most rooms in the home are large enough for you to incorporate areas for storage inside them. However, bathrooms are often notoriously small and don’t usually have a great deal of room inside them for bathroom furniture even though the bathroom has to accommodate all sorts of items.

You need to look carefully for items of bathroom furniture that will fit neatly into your bathroom without making the room cramped and uncomfortable. Use wall space for things like bathroom cabinets and towel rails so that you don’t need to use up floor space in order to store these essential bathroom items.

Shelving inside shower units and over baths is also a really good way of storing items like beauty products, shower gels, shampoos and conditioners. This way you will free up space inside bathroom cabinets for other items.

When you design the layout of the bathroom, you need to know how much of the room you can devote to bathroom furniture. Bathroom furniture is obviously very important when it comes to devising bathroom storage options, but clearly your bathroom suite takes priority. What you need to have a clear view of in your mind is exactly what components of the bathroom suite you will definitely be using.

One of the big questions raised when you start to consider these things is whether you will need a shower enclosure or whether you will have a shower installed above the bath. If you don’t have a separate enclosure then you may have more space for bathroom furniture. If you do have one then you will need to find other areas for storage.

The attraction of having a shower enclosure is that it creates a dedicated area for showering alone. This can be very comfortable and often affords you more space when you shower than when you stand in the bath. It is entirely up to you whether you feel that these benefits outweigh those of having a little extra space in your bathroom in which to place furniture for storage.

Cheap bathroom suites are not as difficult to find as you might imagine. Bathroom suites are made up of all the most essential components of any bathroom. They usually include a toilet unit, a bath and a bathroom basin. However, depending on your personal tastes and requirements you may wish to finish off the collection with a shower enclosure. Others prefer installing a shower over the bath.

Since bathroom suites involve at least three separate elements, they can run into quite expensive prices. However, online retailers are capable of offering great discounts. Cheap bathroom suites found online rarely compromise on style or on quality – they are simply made of slightly cheaper materials, which are nevertheless built to last.

Shopping online for suitable bathroom suites is actually a really good way of doing things. It can be a great deal of hassle to visit showroom after showroom in your quest to find the right suite. This is also an incredibly time-consuming way of shopping.

When you look for cheap bathroom suites online you will be able to scroll through all sorts of different options, assessing each one before settling on the one you think will look perfect in your new bathroom.

The last article began dealing with the important issues surrounding components of bathroom suites in your bathroom. You must be careful to choose those elements that are most essential to you if your bathroom is to remain comfortable and spacious. Basins and baths have been discussed, so it is time to move onto showers and toilets.

Shower enclosures

These are great for small bathrooms. You can also have a shower enclosure in your master bathroom along with a bath, but this isn’t always the best use of space. Remember that you have to be able to fit items of bathroom furniture in with your bathroom suite, so choose wisely regarding the components you choose to install. You can always place a shower head over the bath to preserve space. For this, you will also need to fit your bath with a shower screen.

Toilets

You will definitely need a toilet in your bathroom, unless you have a separate room with one in. Nevertheless it is always useful to be able to have more than one toilet in the house in case one is in use. This is obviously more of an advantage if you happen to have a large household with lots of family members competing to use the bathroom at the same time.

A number of different components make up a bathroom suite. You must pay attention to all of these items when you are looking to redecorate or completely renovate your bathroom. Designing a successful bathroom is about prioritising the items that view as essential and making the very best use of the space that is available to you in the room.

The following items generally make up a complete bathroom suite. It is up to you to decide which you need and which you can go without.

Baths

Depending on what you have in the rest of your home, you may not need a bath in the bathroom you are renovating. Many houses can survive with just a single bath so smaller bathrooms or en suites needn’t have them. If you really enjoy having a bath every now and again then you shouldn’t sacrifice a bath unit completely. You can get rectangular baths, corner baths and freestanding baths depending on the layout of the room and your own personal tastes.

Basins

It is unlikely that you will be able to go without a basin in your bathroom. These give you a place to wash and carry out the most basic parts of your daily routine in the room. Placing your basin in a washstand is a really good way of incorporating storage-related bathroom furniture into your bathroom suite.

When you have a very small bathroom, you really have to use your nous to make it as comfortable and practical as possible. Bathrooms are rooms that we use every single day, so it is important that we can enjoy them. This is made more difficult when we are faced with a lack of space, but there are ways to get around this problem.

Using light and mirrors

Light is essential when you want to create an illusion of space in a small room. Whatever you do, don’t block any of the exterior light from entering your bathroom. Frosted or obscured glass makes sure that the maximum amount of glass can enter your bathroom at the same time as maintaining your privacy. Try to avoid using blinds.

Mirrors are fantastic because they reflect light to make your bathroom feel brighter. Furthermore, they reflect the open spaces in your room to make the bathroom feel more spacious too.

Prioritising bathroom furniture

Since space is an issue, you must prioritise the things you need to hand in the bathroom and the things you can store elsewhere. Then you can make decisions regarding bathroom furniture without putting the room under too much pressure.

Bathroom showers are central to how well you enjoy your bathroom. If you don’t give sufficient thought to bathroom showers when you kit out your room then you run the risk of ending up disappointed with your bathroom when it is ready for use. Fortunately, you can save all your decisions regarding bathroom showers until your bathroom is completely decorated with your suite and bathroom furniture.

The bathroom showers you can then choose from are as follows.

•	Electric showers
•	Power showers
•	Steam showers
•	Regular showers

When you make your decision regarding which shower to install, you will clearly have to look at the specific needs of those in the house. If you have a large family, for instance, then you may want to save the hot water in your system because it is liable to run out otherwise. If this is the case then you will need an electric shower rather than a regular shower.

On the other hand, you may find that your system is low on pressure and won’t deliver a great shower with a regular shower head. Power showers are the ideal solution to this problem. Of course, regular showers are fine for households that don’t have to deal with these sorts of issues.

It is best to go for the most neutral kitchens and bathrooms as possible. Don’t try and force any major interior design schemes on these two rooms, because your potential tenants may not share any of your tastes. At least with a neutral scheme they will not feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed by your design.

You will also be responsible for laying out very practical rooms. This is a really important step as it may turn out to the difference between securing tenants and failing to do so. It may also make all the difference when it comes to actually receiving the level of rent you are hoping for in order that the property continues to pay for itself.

Shop for your bathroom furniture with maximum storage in mind. People moving into your property will need the house to accommodate all of their belongings and they will not have anywhere else to store their things. Being sensitive to their needs will help you to be a better landlord.

Equally, make sure there is plenty of storage in the kitchen and that it is kitted out with all the kitchen appliances that are necessary for a practical kitchen.
