Modern varieties of kitchen taps

August 30, 2010
Posted in Kitchen Design — Written by Becky

Kitchen taps are much more sophisticated bits of kit than many people actually realise. In the past kitchen taps were merely the means by which people obtained hot and cold water from their system, some versions mixing the water on its way through. However, modern kitchen taps are much more than this.

You can take advantage of some of the more cleverly engineered taps currently on the market. If you have recently updated your kitchen and are now looking to sort out new taps for your kitchen sinks then the following taps may be of interest to you.

Filtered water taps

These taps provide filtered drinking water. They remove the need for separate filtration systems and give you a pure drink every time.

Boiling water taps

These taps remove the necessity of a kettle by providing boiling water directly. These are also very energy efficient as they prevent you from boiling more water than you need to boil when you use the kettle. This also frees up space on your kitchen worktops.

Pull-out taps

Some jobs are a little too cumbersome for ordinary taps. Filling buckets and rinsing food items are jobs that are much more easily undertaken with pull-out taps.
