The right choices for your kitchen tap replacements

November 29, 2009
Posted in Kitchen Design — Written by Becky

A number of companies, designs and styles of kitchen taps are accessible in the market these days and trends and fashions are constantly changing.

A totally new dimension gets added to your kitchen’s design with the addition of a new set of kitchen taps. But always remember to consider the environment of the kitchen before installing a new tap so that you can ensure that the new tap will fit in with your kitchen design.

If your cupboards and cabinets have a modern design, go for a smooth curve in the tap nozzle or a sharp square design. A single tap control will let you mix hot and cold water with a single handle if this is what you prefer. This design also looks pleasing to the eye as well as being functional.

If your cabinets are traditionally wooden then a good kitchen tap finish would work well. High shine chrome is a standard finish used for wooden cabinets. In case your cabinets are the soft wood finish types you could combine it with taps with a gold or brass finish to contrast well with the current design.

To mount your tap there are two traditional methods: Deck mount and wall mount.

Deck mounting allows water to be supplied through the sink surface and a wall mount lets water flow horizontally through the wall. There are many other designs available that suit all styles, designs and needs perfectly.
